Andean Textile Art

Weaving was a very important and meaningful art for the Incans. Like their government, the weaving industry was very well organized and ince commerce was based on the exchange of weavings, they were worth a great deal.

The designs were geometrical, with bright colors, and some contained descriptions of certain events, which could be interpreted as a form of writing. Textiles had great importance in the Andean culture, as one of the most important forms of artistic expression in these early populations.

During your visit to the winery, you will also have the chance to enjoy a permanent exhibition of Andean textile art. Over the years, with patience and dedication, ancient textile pieces have been collected, which pieces are currently exhibited in the winery with the goal of showcasing the art, beauty and high technical quality of this culture.

The exhibition expresses a veneration for textile art, which, just as the making of fine wines, requires much patience and dedication, the use of noble primary materials, and respect for nature, in order to create unique pieces with personality.
