Vineyards: estate grown at Finca El Retiro, located at 5,740 feet (1,750 meters) above sea level in Cafayate.
Yield: 5 tons per hectare.
Harvest Date: first half of March.
Fermentation: controlled fermentation at 26ºC. Final extraction at 30ºC with 16 days of maceration.
Aging: 16 months in oak barrels; 70% French and 30% American.
Alcohol: 14,00%.
Acidity: 5,8 g/l.
PH: 3.76.
Production: 4.516 bottles (limited edition)
Tasting notes
Color: Bordeaux-red, with semi-black tones in the center, shiny, with good evolution. Vibrant, with violet notes.
Nose: complexity, red fruits, vanilla and chocolate with a hint of leather and spices.
Mouth: broad, with juicy, sweet tannins which give firmness and structure. Long, flavorful finish.
