St Vincent has teased his next album, titled daddy’s house, through a series of vintage-style posters shared on social networks. The album will be released on May 14 via Loma Vista.
“St Vincent is back with a record of brand new songs,” read the posters. âWarm and witty Wurlitzers, sparkling guitars and grain, with sleaze and style for days on end. Take you from the top of town to downtown with the artist who makes you expect the unexpected.
“So sit back, light up, and make this bourbon wait for you because⦠DADDY’S HOUSE.”
The posters also note that the album – St Vincent’s sixth studio record – will be released on vinyl, cassette and even 8 tracks. See the posters below:

The musician, real name Annie Clark, first mentioned the album in an interview with Mojo last year, claiming it marked a “tectonic shift” to its sound.
âI felt I had gone as far as I could with the angularity,â she said. âI was interested in going back to music that I listened to more than any other – Stevie Wonder records from the early 70s, Sly And The Family Stone. I studied at the feet of these masters.
Elsewhere in the interview, she also compared her latest album to “The World’s Color Palette of [Martin Scorseseâs] Taxi driverAnd “Gena Rowlands in a Cassavetes movie”.
She added, “I just wanted to capture the colors, the film and tell these stories of being down, down, because of your luck.”
