EL PASO, TX (KTSM) – El Pasoans can turn back time with a unique vintage-style drive-through.
The Blue Moon Drive-In, located at 3019 1/2 Gateway Blvd. The West, next to Ristorante de Monteleone, is expected to open on Saturday. People can expect to enjoy a blast from the past with vintage movies and dinner options.
The drive-in will also have a cash-only concession stand stocked with popcorn, candy, pickles, bottled beer and more.
Owner Gary Monteleone said the Blue Moon Drive-In is for families and adults alike to experience a night filled with timeless movies while having fun: âOur movies play out like the original back in the day. vintage drive-in. So you have previews, dancing hot dogs and all that. Then we get into the cartoons, then to showcase future presentations, and then we get into the movie.
Saturday’s opening day event is the already sold-out sci-fi thriller âThis Island Earthâ. Doors open at 8 p.m. and film starts at 9 p.m.
Monteleone said the drive-in plans to show films from the 60s and / or earlier every Saturday.
The film’s next announcement will be made on Blue Moon Drive-In’s Facebook page on Friday. Tickets are $ 15, which includes dinner options like homemade burgers, hot dogs, or a slice of pizza.
